Baby Steps

Things have been happening around here fast lately! I'm pretty excited that its getting closer to me living a normal life soon !
The critters are doing great although Peanut Butter keeps trying to get outside! Will be great when I can move everyone back in the house again!
I sleep with a dog and two cats most nights, Montgomery lays on the floor or the futon that I open up incase he wants to get comfy on his own bed.

I had a great time with the girls and took them to Michaels but somehow we got side tracked to Petsmart..and came home with a hamster. lol

A quilt my Mom made, I doubt I'll have a wall opened enough to hang it, although maybe. I love using it as a curtain in camper, with the light shining through it , it looks like a stained glass window! I might use it the same way in the house, or make some beautiful pillows out of it for the daybed.

After taking several trips with my daughter and her family on their Ebike ( which was too big for me) I decided to get my own, oh my goodness its so much fun. I leave the power way down until I hit a hill , and wow, so much fun!!

This month is the start of my journey of saying goodbye or letting go...Tuesday I'll be going to Anders favorite golf course to have lunch with his best buds and donate the money raised for their youth program and donate his clubs , then Saturday is the Cancer Walk which I made these luminary bags for. I'll be walking for him and will donate the money raised for the Cancer Network and home health and hospice. I look forward to seeing some of the nurses and aides that helped us so much.

I got some stickers for my car, sometimes you just gotta be silly and they make me smile so thats all that matters!

So the subfloors are now done!  The windows, doors, shower, kitchen and bathroom faucets ordered, plumber has been prepaid and will install all that plus a new hybrid hotwater heater and heatpump... I CAN"T WAIT TO TAKE A SHOWER AGAIN !

My bike hanging out in my future bedroom.

standing in the kitchen looking towards the great room, next step is to install four windows in the front and the front door, also enlarge opening to the greenhouse and put in a real door..

I'll have a 5x 14 storage area for my tools etc when everything is finished

I'm loving going to the gym so often and now will take my bike there most days( 1/2 hour ride), I I live 3 miles from the lamoille rail trail, 269' elevation change but with my new ebike its no problem!

I can't WAIT til the windows and my front door are in and I can paint my house to match my chicken coop..:)  will be a challenge to grow grass but I have a plan...:)

I can finally show you a picture of my bathroom! This is the window that someone broke into before I lived here and they cut out a bunch of copper pipes. I've had no problem at all since I've moved in.

So Windows arrive on the 10th of July until then things are at a stand still as far as construction goes, but lots of time to keep working on de-invasive planting the front yard. I got a bunch done today, heat wave happening this week so I"ll be reading!

Thanks for following me on my journey.

June has arrived

So this happened! Walls are down! What you are looking at is my future "great room" you can see my kitchen window to the left and the door ahead will be gone as that space will be my bedroom. This is so exciting!

I had to take down my birdfeeders first time in my life, the critter hit up Melissas house a mile down the road and at least one other inbetween. Bear ....

I was/am excited that I participated in the "Murph" workout at the gym.
Its a work out done to honor our fallen heros.
I did the fitness version which is 1/2 of what some of the other athletes did.
1/2 mile run followed by
*5 pullups
10 push ups
15 squats
* repeat 10 more times
then another 1/2 mile run
My time 37 minutes.

I've been busy working on the yard keeping the tiger lilies worn down ( I have SOOO many more to whack down though on the other side of the fence! I'm really loving the property,I can sit and enjoy the flowers from my spot outside the camper, today I put up a tarp to give us a shady spot in the heat.

My construction guy has been busy leveling floors and put up some good
sturdy walls today!

I closed out the go fund me today and set the dates for passing out the money to the golf course, cancer network and hospice.  I was going to sprinkle some of Anders ashes at the golf course but I'm not ready yet so he can wait until my little house is done I need him here with me for now.
( not that he is here as I'm pretty sure the man is out there sailing the great lakes, his first love)

Found this beauty, when he retired from Algoma and received his clock.
The clock is right here in my camper and will indeed have a special spot in my little house along with some other personal things of his.  I loved seeing him in his uniform...<3
and "sailing" the great lakes with him, what an amazing career , so proud of him.
