I was back on the road after a 1/2 hour and got to the park in ride in North Londonderry, NH about an hour later, an hour early so I got out the Jeep and started walking around the parking lot. It wasn't much long after though that more cars were turning up and people go out holding leashes and collars, the questions always. "you waiting for a dog?" Then, "where is yours coming from?" After pacing around for an hour finally I saw the truck coming into the parking lot.
Another puppy , still waiting for mine!
As soon as the truck and trailer pulled in a crowd gathered to line up to meet their new friends. Can you believe this trailer was full of dog crates? They come up once a week...
It actually made me cry just thinking about that fact when they drove in...
They opened up the door and even though you can't see him , my puppy was in the top left hand crate. I had to wait my turn though.
It was pretty sad to see older dogs come off thinking that if the rescue organizations hasn't found them more than likely they would of been put to sleep. This guy had found a great new home!

His brother comes next! |
getting ready to go home! |

dogs everywhere, just makes you feel good to see them getting homes! |
awwwww
Makes you wonder what the dogs are thinking...
Now where am I going?
Oh but he'll be really happy now..:)
made me feel so good to see all these dogs find new homes. If you are thinking of getting a new dog its a really rewarding way to get one. Go to Petfinder.com and get started.
Before long it was my turn and when I told them which puppy it was they said "oh him!" I think he barked the whole way from Arkansas! " since he has been hear I've hardly heard him make a sound so I think he was just excited he was coming to live with us. :)
yep we love him already, but sure takes a bit getting used to a puppy...oh the joys of housebreaking!! :)
On a further note lots of people have been asking me how Whiskey ended up being at a shelter. On February 14th, a fellow came in to the shelter and surrendered him said he found him wandering through his yard and didn't know who he belonged to. He was pretty small at that point being only approx. 10 weeks old at the time. He is a Golden Retriever has a sweet temperament and we love him already.

Whiskey is gorgeous - and I love the name too.
I lost my Golden last June at age 14. I have two other dogs that I love dearly, but there is nothing - NOTHING - like a Golden Retriever.
Also, rescuing these guys os a class move.
